1. The decisions of the judges are final

2. Town and Country Days' board of directors and committees are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen exhibits.

3. Exhibitors are responsible for entering exhibits in proper sections and classes. Exhibits entered in improper classes will not be eligible for prizes.

4. Only one entry per person per class will be accepted. You may enter as many classes as desired.

5. No entries from previous years will be accepted.

6. Canned goods must have been preserved within the past 12 months. Canned goods ust be in standard canning jars. Remove canning rings before entering. Canned goods must not have personal labels. No sandwich spreads or mayonnaise type canned goods may be entered. All canned goods must be processed in pressure canner or hot boiling water canner. All jars must be clean and without rust.
Headspace (empty space between lid and produce) is as follows;

    ¼ inch jams and jellies
    ¼ inch Juices and purees
    ¼ inch fruits, pickles and tomatoes
    1 inch vegetables and meats
    1 ¼ inch poultry and lima beans

7. Section"L" - 4-H/FFA exhibit is open only to 4-H/FFA members in good standing.

8. All exhibits must be entered on Sunday, August 11, 2018, from 1 to 6 p.m.

9. Pick up exhibits Saturday, August 17 from 9 to 10 p.m. or Sunday, August 18, from 1 to 3 p.m.

10. If, in the opinion of the judges, a class does not have an entry worthy of a prize, none will be awarded. This means that an entry won't necessarily win first place simply because it is the only entry in that class.

11. All entries in Section I, Baked Goods and Candies, will be sold at auction Monday, at 4:30 p.m .. Ribbons and entry cards will remain on display throughout the week.

PRIZES

1. No single entry may win more than one prize except for Best of Show and Outstanding Exhibitor.

2. Each class in Section A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, L, M and N will have awards as follows:First, blue ribbon, $3; Second, red ribbon, $2; Third, white ribbon, $1

3. A total of five (5) Best of Show awards will be make as follows: Section A and B - fresh fruit and vegetables, ribbon, $7 Section C, D, E, F,G, H - all canned products, ribbon, $7 Section I - 4-H/FFA exhibit, ribbon, $7 Section L - 4-H/FFA exhibit, ribbon, $7 Section M - flowers, ribbon, $7

4. Section J, K, N and O will not be eligible for Best of Show award.

5. Section K (market basket) will have three (3) winners: first, $8; second, $6; & third, $4

6. Section O (the Hulk) will have only one winner per class. A ribbon and $5 will be awarded in each class.

7. The exhibitor with the greatest dollar value in prize money will be declared the Outstanding Exhibitor and will be awarded an additional $25. In the event of a tie, the award will be equally divided.
